Stackz89 - leased or purchased, all cars are going to have issues from time to time. You need to expect that much. If a car has excessive issues, lemon laws are there to protect you as a consumer.

Lemon laws vary from state to state, so on "Strong Island" (I'm originally from Nassau County, so this term makes me want to barf, by the way) you'd have to consult with NY state law. In many cases, 30 or more days in the shop to fix a problem is usually one of the litmus tests.

That said, and from reading your previous posts, I highly doubt the car would come close to constituting a lemon. It sounds, rather, that you've had a few minor issues and a terrible dealer and service department. If the service department can't get around to your car for a week or more with a leak, perhaps they're either over-booked, under-staffed, incompetent, or a combination of the above. Either way, you're free to go to a different dealer.

Likewise, on the rental vs. a BMW loaner, I can agree with you there. You're paying to drive a BMW, you should at least have a BMW loaner. Most quality dealers will provide BMW loaners to their customers (especially if you've bought the car there). Hell, prior to my 550xi, I had a 335i that I regularly serviced at my current dealer and didn't buy the car there - always got a BMW loaner.

However, to be fair to the dealer, if they ARE over-booked on service business, it's also quite possible that they're legitimately out of loaners. I've seen dealers provide rental cars under these circumstances before. If it's happening consistently, though, again... you may just want to find a different dealer.

Last but not least here... I don't know you, but you sound young. And again, knowing the "Strong Island" types I grew up with, a bit of attitude and hot-headedness was no stranger to the community there. Make sure you're treating your SA and the service department there with respect. If you have an issue, keep calm and explain it, seek guidance, and just be professional. I've seen some dealers completely blow-off people who come at them with an attitude (young OR old... but many times younger guys). I'm not accusing you of being one of these guys, but raleedy's observation of your excessive explanation marks, if translated into a verbal discussion, may not bode well for you.

In summary - I'd bring the car to a different dealer going forward if you think your dealer is over-taxed and unresponsive (including your CA). Form a professional and strong working relationship with whatever dealer you go to next, and you should be OK.
