That is because the sensor for the comfort access is somewhere mounted behind the rear bumper and when the retrofit of the M5 rear diffuser is done it may interfere with the mounting points on the sensor. Search the forums as I have come across another member who had that problem. Sensor just needs to be moved as it obviously is mounted in a different place or manner in the M5 vs the non-M cars (even the ones with the M sport package I think). As my easy comfort trunk opener doesn't really open all that easy and reliably I am okay if my car comes out without that fxn when I get it back honestly. I think I've used it properly maybe 2 times in 2.5 mos of ownership! LOL But my installers are aware of the issue and will try to keep it intact during my retrofit. Will keep you guys posted.
