ED help from Austrian & Italian members

I'm planning an ED at the end of October with a buddy to pick up his 650 vert. It will be my sixth and his fifth ED adventure, so we're pretty familiar with the process. Admittedly, we revert to our younger days on these trips and have a basic formula - drive fast all day, eat and drink all night, repeat the following day. Alas, as we're now in our 50s, the "old" fomula now only lasts two or three days!

So here's our plan:
- Arrive in Munich on Saturday morning. Immediately go to the Welt, pick-up the car and drive to the Innsbruck area.
- On Sunday, drive to Trieste, Italy via the Austrian and/or Italian Alps and via Ljubljana, Slovenia (why not?!).
- On Monday, drive from Trieste to Venice.
- On Tuesday, return to the States.

The help that I'm looking for is for a fun driving route (non-motorway):
1) from Munich to Innsbruck (I think that should be easy), and
2) from Innsbruck to Trieste via Ljubljana (more difficult I would guess).

Finding our way along coastal roads from Trieste to Venice should be pretty simple.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
