You really should read your manual. The 2014 manual on page 41 (I believe) gives the instructions.
Under the 'settings', you can set the 'acoustic sig. lock/unlock' as well as the light flash.
On my 2012, the acoustic beep will not sound if anything is not properly closed, from doors to hood to trunk. Once rectified the beep will sound. That should solve your problem.
