Lowering the rear (via an adjustable link) is unlikely to change the spring rate, so there is a risk of bottoming out something, since the wheel must be now closer to the body. It sounds like the self-leveling air suspension still has it's full travel, but now the space it has to travel is smaller. This is also likely to change the alignment angles (maybe for the better?) so you should watch the wear very carefully. Getting each side exactly the same would also be important.

Good luck, report back after you've put maybe 5K miles or so on it on handling, tire wear, and ride characteristics.
