There are always going to be people who hate the design direction, no matter which way it goes. Can't please everyone. I happen to think the new designs are beautiful. Didn't like the design of the original X5, hate this 5 GT, love my e60, love the new X5. Didn't really like the outgoing 7er, but love the new design. There is a toilet for every butt. Not everyone has to like the new direction. But consumer testing says that enough people do. That's why there are other car companies, for those that don't like it.
