I suspect the Xdrive has a lot to do with ruining the handling of the 5. It adds a lot of weight and I just feel a very numb dynamic. I can't wait to ditch my 535d xdrive and get into the 535i rwd. The diesel lacks all the refinement i've become accustomed to with the BMW straight sixes. I get out of my diesel and jump into my E93 328 and it is just so smooth, the steering so perfectly weighted. Hopefully the new 5 with the gas six will exhume the refinement of old.
