The reason I got the Rupes was beacause the Flex is too big sometimes.
On the Flex I replaced the original back plate with a small 4 3/8" one and use 145mm pads, just under 5 3/4 inches, and it is too big somtime.
The Rupes mini, not to be confused with the Duetto which is the same size as the Flex, has 3" backplate and 100mm or 4" pads.
I needed a smaller machine to compliment the Flex, and I that is why I ordered the Rupes Mini today, no plans no cancel, oh, and I got a 20% discount on it so that's good too.
