Hi psyxologos - Could you give us a bit more info - what make/model of phones are you using? Are both phones paired with the same vehicle? You can have upto 4 phones paired at the same time but only one can be the active one for outgoing calls and this is the one that the car will use the phone book from. If you look closely at the symbols next to the phones then you can see the one that it is using the phone book from. You can swap which one it is using on the iDrive. The other phones can be used for incoming calls or Bluetooth Audio but not for outgoing calls.
Another thing that you may want to check is that you have authorised the car to have access to the phone book on the phone. When you first connect/pair the phone and it retreives the phonebook it will typically prompt for permission on the telephone.
I'm sure we can sort this one out.
