After doing some reading on N54tech (Terry's board) it seems like S2 does in fact control boost in a different manner compared to S1. Since Terry doesn't recommend people turning up the boost from the default +3.5psi for S1 power wise both versions will be similar. Its just that with S2 you don't have the option to risk upping the boost like you do with S1. All in all i am happy with the way the car feels with S2. Its a noticeable change from stock for sure. Considering S2 only takes another 5-10mins to install i would just jump to S2 since the feel of the tune is suppose to be better.
Reviews on the 335 forums seems to all say that going from S1 to S2 felt a lot smoother and better even though peak power isn't really reflected.
The install difference is literally:
1)loosen 10mm nut to tap the power wire into (30secs)
2)loosen a 14mm nut for the ground wire (30secs)
3)install two positap wires to the car (5mins if that
The rest of the install is identical between S1 and S2.
