The E9x 3 series and E8x 1 series will not get the turbo 4 because they are going out of production soon anyway. Instead the motor will come in new F3x 3 series and F2x 1 series.
BTW, can someone please confirm the alphanumeric code for this engine?
It's driving me crazy calling it turbo 4, and I am too lazy to type "TwinPower Inline 4 cylinder" everywhere.
