Exactly. With all of that torque, it would be a perfect city car. This is a much better option then adding electric motors to a torque-less Japanese four-cylinder.
I'd also like to see a 535d, 735d, and X3 35d. With 425 pound-feet, it would be a better engine for city driving than the gasoline 35i and would return better mileage, as well.
