That's pricey... I've just bought a full set of 18" Dunlop 3D RFs for 1k, yours should be well under that depending on the exact size (unless you're going to mytyres or blackcircles or one of the other less competitive sites?).

Just dropped a guess into Tyretraders and it's quoting £865 for Bridgestone 235/50/17s.

But yes, if you're not bothered about peace of mind versus cost on a ZP tyre then there's nothing stopping you fitting a regular tyre and carrying a can of foam as a contingency measure..
