% vs darkness
If I understand correctly (from what the tint guy explained to me), the lighter the tint the higher the percentage. The % number represents how much light is able to make it through the tint. So a tint with 90% would be the lightest letting in 90% of the ambient light falling on it while 20% (also referred to as Limo tint) would be nearly black letting in only 20% light. Was I misinformed?
I too am interested in getting the light tint (around 70-90%) that brings me close to how the prior model BMWs (e46) were with (slightly) tinted glass.
