Get to the dealership. BMW not an indi and have them investigate. This is how my E36 died a horrible death. Your car should never require coolant until it's due service. It's a world of pain once the engines cooked!

Also when did the problem start? Have you had any heating problems, including the heaters playing up inside the car? When you topped the car up, was it hot or cold?
