In the US the combined sales four variants of the F07 peaked at 2,850, whereas the the single variant of the E60 touring peaked at 2,350. Even in its worse year the E60 still outsold the F07 on a per variant basis. BMWUSA took a conservative approach and only forecast combined sales for the F07 ay 8,000 units or 2,000 units per variant. It has been implied that two vairants of the F07 and two variants of the F11 would have resulted in more sales.
