The filter is about 10-15 bucks. What's going on is that they are trying to nickel and dime a brother to death. They figure you're probably some rich schmuck that has more money than time. Take the BMW badge off the car and it like any other car. Steel, plastic and rubber. Why does the dealer for my other car charge $80, when they both take synthetic oil and both have cartridge type filters?
