I had two E39s, a 540 six speed and a M%. Neither the E60 or the F10 can compare based on sheer driving fun. E39s seem to handle better and have more responsive steering. However, having said that, the F10 is so much more refined that the E39. All other features of the car are outstanding. You will enjoy the 550i.
