For the general BMW forum populous, battery label should be a choice, so Costco's Interstate battery is just fine, and has been a go-to brand by BMW owners for a long time....but the battery technology should be AGM.

I've not had good luck, even after changing the battery type in the software, with standard lead-acid batteries. I've had unexplained electrical gremlins using a high-end lead acid battery, that "magically" disappeared after resorting back to AGM.

AGM's act more like a constant voltage source, which BMW's need given their appetite for electrons, and the need to keep ECU voltage levels above their respective brown-out voltage values.
