For U.S. buyers the new N20 is probably less bad, due to the neutered 230hp N52, but elsewhere the N52 is unleashed to 255hp.
Whereas in the U.S. it is an increase in HP from 230 to 240, elsewhere its actually reduced, although torque is higher and at lower revs.
Performance increases by 0.4s in 0-100km, but for the 255hp spec it is only 0.2s.
And this is before the consideration of driving dynamics/ characterics of a 3.0NA vs. 2.0T.
Start stop is annoying and i cannot think of any situation in which it would actually be useful and not a torture to have on, perhaps in a rigid test environment with 30s+stops and no true stop-go traffic as is often in reality.
Thats one less button I have to remember to push everytime i start the car, although i can't imagine it being forcibly implemented in such a way, this exceeds the annoyance of the normal/sport/sport+ mode reset.
I'm glad I got my N52 w/o startstop.
