Worked in a tire shop when I was 17 and our favorite customers were the BMW and Mercedes drivers cause we always talked them into getting new tires when they came in with a nail like this. This is the easiest and most effectice place to patch or plug a tire. You are good to go with either. A patch is longer lasting but a plug is not a bad choice either. I had a plug on my old 3 series with a sport package that I used to drive really rough and it lasted me for a couple of years. I did get in the old tire shop I used to work in and yes the young guys there did try to sell me a brand new tires LOL.... Using the same things I used to say. LOL.
