I think this is not possible even with current models. There is an "automatic zoom" setting but it is only available for N-oriented view and it is not working at all. For instance, if you are driving and using navigation and you activate the "automatic zoom" function, the map will zoom out to show the whole route and stay there, not reacting to intersections, speed, etc. It's a bit frustrating because: a) we are forced to control zoom manually all the time, b) it should be available in all views, including perspective.
