As far as styling goes the F10 isn't aging as well as I thought it would. So it really does need an update. Whats even more surprising is that the E60 is aging better than I thought it would.

E60 LCI models are as attractive and timeless looking as E39 LCI models. They're clean and sharp; tailored. The F10 is no doubt a beautiful and muscular car, but BMW's design language is taking on an American rounded muscle design as opposed to the timelessly European, chiseled, "shaped from a block of granite" design from before.
Exactly. Personally I think this stems from them (BMW) focusing way too much on "presence". I suspect this is to attract "new money" in Russia, the Middle East, Silicon Valley, and maybe even China to an extent.
