Is there any way to provide this pricing sheet in other than a zipped or compressed format? I try to open it, but get a message that it's "invalid or corrupted". Thanks.

What does Jonathan Spira have to do with this forum? He is a moderator at Bimmerfest and not this forum. Just because he is a consultant to BMW that does not mean that his role is to police the internet for both BMW and the board sponsors of Bimmerfest European Delivery. Related to that I do not understand why there continues to be a board sponsor at Bimmerfest European Delivery that generates many complaints of unscrupulous business practices. This board sponsor has been repeatedly reported to Bimmerfest moderators and yet they continue to permit them to be a board sponsor at Bimmerfest. This same sponsor was banned here at Bimmerpost. What is the common thread? Follow the money to understand why actions are taken or not taken.

On Monday I am writing Audi USA with suggestions for an Audi European Delivery program. I am not joined at the hip to BMW. Currently I lease a new fully optioned BMW every three years doing European Delivery. I could be just as happy doing Audi European Delivery every three years.

I believe that BMW is just caving into the dealers. Uninformed BMW customers generate a lot more profit for some dealers that use unethical business practices, including those that purchase board sponsorships at the Bimmerfest European Delivery Forum for more efficient fleecing.

I have had numerous people contact me with the misconception that a board sponsor at a European Delivery Forum is somehow a board sponsor because they are highly regarded. Highly regarded has nothing to do with it. You just pay your money and you get to be a board sponsor. If board members complain about a European Delivery Sponsor, that merits no consideration as long as the sponsor continues to pay for the sponsorship. Board sponsor = paid advertiser.

++++1.

Besides, why all the secrecy regarding invoice prices? I just purchased an X5. I offered $xxx over invoice. My CA volunteered the invoice price item by item. It all agreed with the numbers I already had. My point is that an ethical CA doesn't have a problem with making the process very transparent. It's a trust issue in my opinion.

We are still at a disadvantage. According to BMW "The Dealer's ultimate cost may vary due to incentives, allowances, and other programs or payments." BMW will not be satisfied until we are totally devoid of information and totally powerless in negotiating a fair price. There must be a double agent within BMW NA that is cooking up this nonsense as part of plot to drive business to Audi.

This thing gets even more bizarre. Jonathan Spira, a moderator at Bimmerfest, contacted the moderators here about taking down my pricing sheets. BMW threatened the moderators here with legal action to force Bimmerpost to take down my price sheets. THESE WERE NOT OFFICIAL BMW DOCUMENTS. Now Bimmerfest has just posted invoice price information. It is not complete at this time. UNBELIEVABLE. What is the difference between my unofficial pricing documents and what Bimmerfest is in the process of doing? The difference is whether the information is posted here or at Bimmerfest and some cute graphics.

Pharding, you are 100% right on that! We have the right to know the real pricing of something we buy. We are not going to be taken advantage of by BMW NA no matter what. We expect to deal a fair price on a car. I do not tolerate BMW NA accusing or threatening anyone on this board. If they have a problem, don't expect us to buy a 5 series. I will happily go to Audi to get a better deal. On the otherhand, I have the secret invoice with me and will use it to my advantage.

Are you saying those docs weren't official???

I for one, definitely appreciate pricing being posted.... but how are we to know if you just created a document with BMW graphics on it??

I downloaded as soon as I saw it, knowing this might happen. If anyone needs to know the ED invoice is $42,440 for 535i, $51,080 for 550i, $38,115 for 528i. Don't let BMW dealers rip you off.

Question - is the ED discount applied only to the base car, or the entire cost of the car? If it is the latter, is it always 7%?

Correct.
The E.D. discount ONLY applies to the base price...
it's always roughly 7%.

All options are priced the same as U.S. delivery, whether it be the retail pricing or the invoice pricing.

It is routine to get discounts on the options. You should be able to negotiate the purchase price down to 11% to 12% off of US MSRP on the base car and options with Euro Delivery and sound negotiating skills.

I have been deluged with requests. I simply do not have the time to honor them. I posted the information which was not an official BMW document just to help everyone out. Jonathan Spira did not use his head and contact me first, before doing all of us a big disservice. I and other BMW Enthusiasts are still pissed that he did that.
