2011 528i Ordered... Deal Check ... Balloon vs. Lease

It's ordered... finished production today. Mainly justifying the deal and considering lease options.

2011 BMW 528i
Space Gray Metallic $550
Everest Gray Dakota Leather
Active Ventilated Seat Package $2,950
Premium Package $1,800
Convenience Package $1,700
Cold Weather Package $650
Premium Package 2 $4,500
Xenon Headlights $900
Head-up Display $1,300
Destination & Handling $875

Total MSRP $60,275

-$1,730 Nav Credit
-$1,000 Owner Loyalty
-$3,545 Discount
$54,000
+$399 Doc Fee
+16.50 Title Fee
+1,949.12 Taxes
$56,364.62 Total
-$11,364.62 Down Payment
$45,000 Financed

PenFed Credit Union: 60 Months @ $554.28 w/ Balloon $16,554.28 @ 2.74% (No mileage restrictions and must payoff or refinance at final payment.)

I have not figured the lease yet, but I believe this would be better than a lease since I will have no mileage restrictions or lease end expenses. I would have to have the 15,000 miles per year plan if leased.

you don't want to lease over 5yrs BMW Financial will rake you over the coals, the finance with a balloon (aka BMW Select) is the better option to keep your payments low and not have to worry about mileage allowances. good luck Sonnie!

and post some pics as soon as you pick her up of the interior, i am seriously considering (as you saw in my poll) Space Gray with Everest Gray interior!!

A lease would be a good alternative only if you plan to get rid of the car in 3 years.

Looks like you'll have one of the last ever made I-6 528s!

It would be 3 years on the lease, but a larger amount to deal with at the end. I never know what I may do with a vehicle... as I am very unpredictable and spontaneous. However, this is the first car that I can say I really really miss, being that I just recently sold my previous 528i (long story). I bought another car, the wife confiscated it and since I missed my 528i so much, I decided to order another, except with more options. So there is a chance I may very well keep this one for a while. Although there is always that possibility of trading for a newer model in a few years.

Here are several pics of my previous 528i... same color... http://www.snapbug.ws/bmw/

I would not have any other color interior with this car. I do use black all weather mats in the floor, which break up the look a bit.

Yep... and glad I was able to get in at the last minute. I did not order it until July 30. Of course it was one that was already scheduled for production and we simply changed the options.
