Hello, new to the group here. My business partner and I just pulled the trigger on a pair of 535s, premium 1 & 2, Convenience and Sport. We are doing 3 year leases due to tax purposes. This will be my 7th BMW and will be the first one that I don't "own". My question is, what cool mods are feasible considering that the car will need to be turned in in 3 years? Anything that will make the cars stand out from the sea of Bimmers we have in Austin? Performance upgrades are out of the question since I would not want to spend a lot of money on a leased car.
Thanks in advance for your ideas! Hector |

I am leasing as well and I will be adding window tint, rear spoiler, 20" wheels and tires, painted reflectors, and ACS Springs. The springs are the only mod that will be a pain to remove. Everything else will either be sold individually or put on a future M5

Why remove the springs?. If you throw the stock rims and tires back on, I dont think you will have any problems at the return.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Or, te la puedes comer. And just enjoy the car as is. You should also consider washing your business partner's car every week. he seems like a really cool guy.
Lastly, you may want to try to not drive his car like sh$t. |

I'm leasing and bought wheels/tires. I'm really liking the light, forged MORR wheels with Pilot Super Sports. I am keeping the stock wheels/tires to put back on at turn-in. I figure that I won't have to buy new tires then, so the cost is just shifted, and if I lease another 5, I can put the wheels on it.
The car really takes on a new character with the right wheels. I stayed with 19's for the performance/ride benefits, but 20's give you a nice look to stand out. EDIT: Oh, I also got the BMW carbon filer spoiler. The car is AW, so this also stands out well. BMW gloss black grilles too. I am still mulling painted reflectors and side fender trim.

I think the standard wheels, grills, and JB3 will be all you need, possibly ACS springs but they're rather pricey after including the price of installation so I guess it all depends on how much you're willing to sink into a lease.

I'd go with Tune, Springs and maybe wheels.
All items can be sold easily, and they will all improve the driving dynamics of the car, especially if you go with lightweight forged wheels. Plenty of good options out there to chose from.

Leasing or buying it really makes little difference to me. I've never had a car for more than 3 years and it sounds like you are the same. You'll never get your investment back in upgrades whether you lease or buy. You do it because you like it.

Yeah, i think I am starting with black grills, side markers, and spoiler. I will follow with a hard wire radar before the end of the year and wheels/springs next summer. Great advice from everybody. Thanks!
