2011 550i exhaust
I have a 550i M sport on order and plan on a few minor mods the exhaust being first. Does anyone know the configuration of the exhaust on the car? In other words is it a true dual exhaust? Is there a resonator? two or four cats? one big muffler with dual outlets or two mufflers each with outlets? Where is the flap located i here people talking about? Sorry for so many questions but the answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

What type of exhaust are you going with? I have an '11 535i M-Sport and was thinking of changing out the exhaust to something a 'little' more aggressive.
I was actually wondering if the '11 550i M-Sport exhaust would retrofit, with a change of the rear diffuser.

No sure..haven't taken delivery yet but during the test drive that was the first thing i noticed..lack of aggressive sound. Thinking of removing resonator and going with straight pipes (any muffler shop can do ) or if some aftermarket has an x-pipe. Otherwise just swapping out the mufflers...not sure though how many aftermarkets tuners have them out yet. And what about this flap i am reading about???

Meisterschaft has the x-pipe for the 550.
Cat-Back Mid X-Pipe The cat-back mid x-pipe removes the stock dummy resonator. *F10/11 550 models onlyPrice SUS: $1,498 And of course they have the rear exhaust as well. http://gthaus.com/ehprice.php?selMak...age=1#pictures ![]() |

I think I am going to go with the ACSchnitzer exhaust for 550i's. I drove a 535 with it and was pleased.

Eisenmann offers a sport and race muffler for the F10 550. Every system is hand-built in Stuttgart, Germany. Below are some photos, videos, and a factory tour of Eisenmann's facility.
