EAS is by appointment though, which I guess that is great if you live near Anaheim, CA.

It does not seem that EAS can do remote coding, let alone the CD/DVD route, as their website refers you to $189 module if you are not local and want the Video In Motion functionality:

Alex with Alpine Motorsports is an option for remote coding though, as is Bimmer-Tech, Bimmer Retrofit, and apparently vatomis:

Typically you will need a special OBD / Ethernet Cable hardwired (no Wi-Fi) to your Router, I think with some Port Forwarding involved, and then they can custom code the vehicle.

Compared to DVDInMotion's CD/DVD method though, these custom codings can be lost when the Dealer updates the vehicle software, and will have to be recoded. The plus side is as of today, they can offer a lot more features than DVDInMotion can.

Folks as a newbie I thought we'd missed the group buy rate but..... DVD in motion have decided to prolong the time to end of this week. That means all members can order for $110 until 22/4/12. Orders will be processed individually so everyone interested should write an e-mail to info@dvdinmotion.com and mention 5post.com group buy.

The important thing is: after 22/4/12 there will be no exceptions and group buy will be finally closed.

Just wanted to let you guys know I was able to get in on the group buy. I emailed Lucie directly through the contact info on the website and got a prompt response!

From sending her the payment to receiving the link to the ISO file took no more than 20 minutes!!!

Awesome service, I can't wait until I try this out tomorrow, when I take delivery of my car

oh, btw Lucie also sends the link do the annoying disclaimer removal tool in the same email for those wondering.
