Floor Mats for F07
Any great floor mat recommendations for the F07? I have the Ivory White Dakota Leather (NOT the Ivory White / Black combo) so my factory carpet and mats are a light beige color and show dirty easily. The interior looks great but I'd love to have something like the WeatherTech product, but they don't make a perfect fit for the F07 yet. Any suggestions out there?
Thanks! |

WeatherTech's customfit front liners work on the rear-wheel drive version of the F07...the rear set works on either the x-drive or rear-wheel drive. I ended up with a set of rubber mats from BMW for the front. Weathertech was not aware that there was a difference on the driver's side regarding the transmission tunnel, and I had to send a set back with some pictures. As far as I know, they have not measured an x-drive version...it wouldn't hurt to bug them. If you live near enough, they might use your car to measure and make them available for all.
While they don't show on the BMWUSA website, the dealer can order the rubber mats. The packaging says they're available in three colors, but they only offered me black, which is okay for my grey carpeting. I may put the carpets back now that winter is over. There are a couple of other threads discussing this, so use the search function. I was a little leary about ordering some of the others since it didn't appear to be common knowledge that there was a difference on the driver's side for custom fit mats...there is a bigger bulge to accommodate the x-drive module in the transmission. |

I have the rears, but found that with the x-drive, the tunnel on the driver's side (at least on the 535) is shaped differently, and they did not have a set that would fit. The passenger's side fit, but they sell them as a set...so, I've got the factory rubber mats for the front, and the WeatherTech set for the rear. I only run with them in the winter, and reinstall the carpets for the rest of the year. They're more comfortable on a long trip for passengers, especially if they might want to go shoeless.

I agree with Wild Blue & have always had rubber floor mats for the winter.
The OEM rubber mats aren't too expensive usually.

Probably not available everywhere this forum serves, the Weathertech mats are nice IF they have ones for your vehicle (last I checked, they had them for the GT in rear-wheel drive only - the X-drive's transmission tunnel is slightly different, and it doesn't fit for the driver's side - all other positions fit).
