you guys act like theres gonna be cars that are chassis based twins. bmw always collaborates with other brands and no one notices... plus, hyundais wanna the best non luxury brands out there right now.

You guys are overlooking the fact that the engine is only one of the components that BMW does well.
BMW is not looking to sell any handling, suspension, x-drive or other secrets. Engine wise- everyone seems to have a 2.0 L turbo engine, so why not share. |

it makes sense to collab with hyundai. in short span of time, they have brought out for the masses more new products & engines than any(?) other automaker. since nissan is sharing tech with mercedes, there's no one left in japan with anything exciting. honda & toyota have been milking the crap out of their tired-ass engines for the last 10yrs yawn... i can't believe honda is thinking of strapping another v6 with electric motors for the next nsx. is it that hard to put two K20 motors in a vee with d/i & strap it longitudinally in a modified original nsx platform? they no longer get it...
