Aftermarket Exhausts?? Do they all DRONE?

I'm trying to find a quad exhaust but the more and more i do research.. the more and more i find that each exhaust drones...

do they all drone??

To some extent yes. They all do. But what is tolerable to some isn't to others. If its a custom exhaust you're after spending a little extra money may result in little to no drone.

Magna Flow drones the most. I haven't heard any bad things about other brands, even Megan had good reviews.

I am installing Meisterschaft GTC in a couple days and from my research there is little to no drone, but as stated earlier each person is different. I will let you know my impressions after install..

thanks for your input fellas.. i'm adding a new addition to the family in a couple months and can't have too much drone to wake the lil baby up... but just enough vibration to get him/her sleeping hehehe... jk!

The only aftermarket exhaust I know that does not drone is Corsa with anti-drone noise-cancellation technology.

Unfortunately, I do not think they make systems for BMW F10.

Yeah i had corsas on my Corvette... they sounded greattt!

I heard the exact opposite about supersprint exhausts. Lacster had one and took it right off because of drone.

Magnaflow on my 535i is outrageous without my resonator installed. thinking about getting something else soon.

Happy to report, Meisterschaft with X-Pipe has NO drone! Just installed last night and put on about 30 miles and was not annoying in the least

Can you pleaseeeeeeeeee post some vids? I haven't heard this exhaust without the AR downpipes and I desperately want to before dropping over $3k for an exhaust.

what resonators did you put on w the mags? the stock one? im thinking about doing the same....lemme know

Edit. Just read the other thread you posted in. That settles it. Wlding stock res in this weekend.

Someone just confirmed that the reason Magnaflow system drones is because the mid resonator was deleted (since it is a catback system). Same thing with Megan system when resonator is deleted.
So as long as you have AXLE back system with the resonator on, you will be ok. But I could be wrong.

I have the catback system from magnaflow and it does come w a resonator. It's huge also. Probably as big as the mufflers themselves. I'm gonna just put the stock one back in this weekend and report back.

Do you mean Catback system? If it's axle back, it will only have the rear 2 mufflers.

So with the front resonator + the 2 rear mufflers, the car still drones at 15 to 22k rpm range?
