I am very good friends with her parents, they invite me over for dinner and go on their boat all the time and call me randomly. I had to return some things to her dad and he said he is really said to see this happen and thought we would get married. He asked me to please talk to her, and promised me that she is not interested in anyone else and would really like us to work it out because we have something special between each other. But I cannot anything out if she is not interested in that. I have not talked to her in two days, but her dad keeps calling me asking me to go on the boat with them and help me do some things.

How have any of you dealt that with that one that got away, or do you think I am being harsh by not wanting to see or contact her at all. I loved this girl with all my heart and saved 25k to buy her to get engaged. I guess I am just so surprised by this, and to sad to lose a person that I so close to and we got along so well with and just truly loved.

Dude I've been pulling my hair out for the past few months. It isnt that easy to just move out when you will have to pay two months rent as termination fee and loose your deposit. This apt/town home is 2745 a month. So FML

A little update to this.

I talked to her in person, she told me she no longer has feelings for me. We had not seen each other for about a month since she had been busy at school, and I said since we had not seen each other that the reason you feel that way.
She had no desire to try and work things out and just said I have no feelings for you anymore.

She said she still wants to be friends and see each other ocasoinally, I told her I would rather not be friends with her. She said why not we where friends before and we started dating and have many mutual friends then maybe it can happen again. I told her no, I love you and be friends with someone I am in love with, you will just end up hurting me more.

Agreed, man. Just tell her, "Okay, hope everything works out! See you around." Easier said then done to move on but honestly, there are many more fishes in the sea. She's in her prime age to party and to make it worst...still in college living the life.

Bad move telling her you still love her. This lets her know she still has influence/power over you. No one who loves you would say/do what she has to you. I know it's hard but you've got to move past her.
