Powdercoating or Paint?

Hi, I have a 2011 BMW 535xi and i wanted to get my wheels either powdercoated or painted black. I'm not sure which to do. I live in New England so their is snow i have to deal with because i dont plan on buying snow tires and wheels. Has anyone powdercoated? Is it more expensive than paint? Is it more durable to rocks and less scratches? i have also heard that powdercoating puts the wheels in an "oven" to dry them and i have heard that this can weaken the wheel? Thanks

Powder coating all the way. It's much more durable than painting. Paint will chip at some point.

Powdercoat. Just like the factory wheel finish.
