Apple iPhone Compatability with BMW Apps Office Functionality

Does anyone know if the click-in iPhone plug-in adaptor enables the features of BMW Apps Office (i.e., email and text messages through idrive?)

According to my dealer, yes, but I never trust these guys, and the BMW Website is not very helpful in this regard.

I do know that with only the white iPhone cable it does NOT work (only get calendar and music, FB and Twitter) Just curious if anyone has gotten it to work with the iPHone 4S.
