Iphone 5 Pairing Problems
Anyone here have the iphone 5 and able to blue tooth pair? I keep getting a pairing failed sign. Do I need a software update? I can't find anywhere that has an update for me to put on a thumb drive. I have a 2012 550i thats not even a month old. Appreciate any help.

I have been reading a lot of bluetooth issue claims online for all different things.

I didn't have any problems pairing my iPhone 5 with my 2011 535i. But I have an older NAV system than what you have.
If you have problems, try deleting the old devices out of the pairing list on your car if possible. Last edited by ibimmer346; 09-28-2012 at 12:49 PM. |

I was clicking to the right after entering in 0000 instead of clicking OK. Stupid error on my part. On another note the iphone 5 bluetooth in general is not as good as previous iphones. I have been following several forums online regarding range issues. I have two bluetooth headsets I used with great distance with older iphone and had no problem. New iphone I start getting serious static after 10 ft. Thats for two different models. I hope it can be fixed!

No problems with pairing the phone!!
It's a hassle that it doesn't make any noise when it locks and I get messages!!
