.....and the only thing really missing is the iPod interface on the nav screen and album art, etc correct?
I don't have NAV and could give a crap about watching videos on the bigger screen.

Mine pairs fine like the old iphone 4 without much drama. Just a case of using the right menu and finding it to pair. Once paired I can stream via bluetooth as well as play using my Apple 8pin USB cable thru the BMW unit. Mine so far displays album art and works like the old iphone 4 from what I can tell however all I have done so far is play music and playlists and make phone calls. So right now my iphone5 is good to go...
