DIY: Resetting your one-touch sunroof function after battery disconnect

Recently I had to disconnect my battery to install a mod and after reconnecting my battery I noticed that my sunroof had lost all of its one-touch functionality (auto open / close, auto tilt with the shade opening a little bit). The manual says you need to go in to the repair center to get it reset. I found this video from Bentley Publishers (gotta love their service manuals!) that is for the E60 but loosely following this I was able to get my F10 to reset and function normally again on the sunroof. Thought i would share.

Is this the only thing that had to be reset after disconnecting the battery, I want to spot weld exhaust tips new tips and think its a good idea to disconnect the battery first.

I also had to disconnect my battery and found out my sunroof did not open at all. After researching, found this same video and returned the operation back to normal. My sunroof now functions as designed. Thank you guys

After swapping my battery, my sunroof was not working properly. The shade and the glass would only slide when you were holding the button forward or aft. The glass roof would not pop up into the vent position. In my case, with the car running, I held the button as directed by the video, and after about 10-15sec it went into the second part of the vid. It went straight to the full function check, then worked fine thereafter.
