New '13 528i
Just picked up my new 5 Series in Germany (military buy). Loved the $5,500 discount!
Chose space grey and cinnamon brown. Coming from a 3 series and the interior is big upgrade in my opinion. The ride is a lot smoother as well. Can't wait until the spring so I can put some new wheels on her. Not a fan of the 18in wheels it came with. What is the best size wheel for the 5 series? I don't plan on lowering the car. m-sport tech pkg premium pkg upgrade sound

I asked about that and they told me it hasn't hit the US market yet. My ride is US spec.

Those are nice, but would have to see how the look on a 5 series. I was thinking the M5 or M6 reps.

The suggestion of "cheaper alternatives" prompts this: If you're changing wheels, consider quality. The wheel expert who has fixed mine from time to time says after-market wheels are often inferior. And when you get that car back to the States, you'll need strong wheels for the potholes here. Another point I've noticed on these forums is that people with larger wheels have more problems with impact damage to tires, wheels and suspension components.

Congrats. If you're thinking of wheels and suspension, don't cheapen an F10 by throwing on cheap stuff. Every mod should improve your car's look AND performance, or don't do it at all.
On wheels, work with companies that offer rotary or full forged wheels. These are lighter and stronger, compared to your stock wheels. Those are usually order to build, so they're custom fitted for your car (vs. using spacers and trying to locate hub rings). Cast wheels are very heavy, increasing your unsprung weight so your performance will decrease. As for suspension, if you play then play all the way. The best in the industry is KW suspension. Take it from others who have been through this. Do it right the first time, so you don't have to do it again. |

My opinion...if you're going to put aftermarket wheels on your car, you have to lower it. The fender gap on the F10 is atrocious. With the different choices of spring out there, you won't be affecting your ride that much. Sean |

Got mine in the summer through a similar program. Ordered wheels from modbargins.com and winter tires from tirerack. No issues thus far.
Congrats on the new ride. Trying to figure out the best way to remove the salt off the undercarriage. Difficult to find a touchless wash place in this area. Appreciate any insight you may have. |
