I hate salt

so I was driving through the turnpike last night and all of a sudden I come up to a salt truck spitting out salt I the roads..I had no other choice but to pass him up..I can't tell if I got any chips cause my car is filthy from the salty roads..srry jus had to vent lol

hahahah I feel your pain

when i had my 745

i came behind one just as he started throwing salt everywhere

i grabbed my hot coffee that i had from starbucks and tossed it right as his window .

yeh i have road rage...

Don't worry about chipping the paint. Worry about corrosion.

They don't use salt here in Alaska, but they do use pea gravel. So, while I'm glad to say we have no chemically induced corrosion, I do have a windshield chip. Also saw where I also got a very tiny, almost unnoticeable paint chip - wouldn't you know, right at the very edge of the clear bra I had installed. Grrr!

LiveLarger: I'm in Germany and haven't located a touchless car wash. What do you do at the end of winter to get the salt off the undercarriage?

I use a high pressure washer.

Georgia! I just spent a week in Chicago and boy do they use a lot of salt. There is no way you can keep your car clean in winter. I still have to get all the salt out from under the car.
