Rear Bumper defect?

All,

Is it a known defect/design flaw for the f10 are any other bmw plastic rear bumper to not be flush where the tips of the bumper meet the panel above the rear tyres?

Is your bumper like this and was it so from new?

Garage List
I had this exact problem on the side of the fuel filler. The pointy bit of the bumper basically stuck out too far. I got it replaced under warranty.

I suspect that it may have been overfilling the car and allowing diesel to run down the side caused the plastic to deform and bend out. I now make sure never to go beyond the first click when filling the car.

The dealer has had to replace one other F10 bumper with the same problem (Omagh, N.Ireland)

Thanks, are you talking about the bumper? It was all solved in the end, they slid it out and slotted it back in.
