Hi,
Not sure this is the correct sub-forum for this thread but here it goes. I'm soon to take delivery on a '11 BMW F10 520d M-Sport. As with all my previous cars I want to install a complete after market car audio system. Now, with the F10 I have some concerns about the possibility to replace the stock head unit (is there even one...) with an after market head unit which leads me to think a processor is probably the best way to go. Processors i'm contemplating are: - Audison Bit One.1 - Alpine PXA-H660 - Alpine PXA-H800 (+ possibly the RUX-C800) <- like this combo, but pricey?!? I have also heard a lot of positive comments about JBL MS-8 but I can't seem to find a dealer carrying this unit in Sweden? So my questions are: - Any thoughts on choice of processor? - Anyone who knows easiest way to tap into the high level outputs from the stock head unit in an F10? - Is high level the only option or is it possible to get a low level or digital (optical or coax) from the stock head unit? Rest of the set up will consist of: - DLS Gothia 6.3 3 way kit powered by a DLS A4 - 2 x DLS Nobelium 12i in a sealed enclosure powered by a DLS A6 For additional power capacity I want to add an Optima Yellowtop 4.2 and an isolator. |
