Who Has Used Tag Motorsports For Wheels & Accessories?
I was looking online for HRE wheel vendors near me (SoCal) and found Tag Motorsports in Escondido, they're all over the Audi forums, but they do all the German and Italian makes too.
Has anyone used these guys? They gave me a real competitive price on Morr wheels (the HRE's were more than I was prepared to spend), and they sell ACS springs and do installations as well. If you guys have had any dealings with these guys let me know - good or bad. Thanks. |

Hey Chili!
TAG Motorsports is an EXTREMELY reputable vendor. They are one of the most capable, professional shops on the west coast - without a doubt. I've personally been to their facility, and they run a very tight ship. You will not find a better, more talented group of guys anywhere. So, whatever scope of work you need done, fire away without any hesitation. Cheers! - Andy |

Chili,
I've been to these guys once (I live in Vista) and they were very nice and informative. While I didn't buy any wheels from them at the time, I am looking for a spring install. Did you get estimates on the ACS sprins/install? |

Actually I have ordered a set of Morr's with tires, and they are also doing the spring install. Alex from Tag was very knowledgeable of what sizes would work best with my car. I feel better having all the work done in one place instead of buying the rims from a vendor on the other side of the country, tires someplace else, buying springs another place, and having the springs installed at yet, another place. The wheels should be in in about 4 weeks - I'll shoot some pics when I get it all done. |

Checked them out today. Ordered Remus Quad for my 528. Sean was very professional and knowledgeable. I told him about the forum and that maybe we can get more San Diego customers out there so you don't need to drive up to LA for your F10 needs...He is interested and can offer us discounts. Let's see if anyone else is interested...

What's up Chili....same question: how much did Tag charge you for the ACS springs and install? I'm currently in the process of purchasing a set for my 550i and there aren't that many places to purchase these springs. Also, did Tag do your alignment? Thanks.

Got the remus quad conversion from Tag. Very happy with the work. We talked about installing M5 diffuser but with my comfort access sensor, they told me it looks like a few hours work and would run me a bit more $ than I'd like to spend, so ended up getting 550 M sport diffuser. Sound is not loud at all but sporty. no drones.
I definitely recommend Tag Motorsports. Sean worked with me and they are legit. |

Bobby,
Glad that you're happy with the work Tag did for you. I have my appointment with them for next friday to get the ACS springs installed on my 550i. I was a little worried because apart from the yelp reviews and the Morr wheels vendor, I had not heard anyone really vouch for their work on this forum. So I'm glad your experience with them was positive. Alex at Tag has been great so far over the phone. He tells me that they do work for several dealerships in the SD area, so that's encouraging. |

Blkthgt,
I did not meet Alex...I did work with Sean. Also, I mention that there are a few forum members who may be interested in purchasing parts with install for their F10. Maybe we can get a discount. I, too am looking at springs (ACS vs H&R) From reviews here, I think I am leaning towards ACS. |

Bobby & Blkthght, I'm glad you guys were happy with your dealings with Tag. I just got an email from Alex that said my wheels were 2-3 weeks out, but my springs are waiting for me. I'm dropping my car off to get the paint corrected on Monday, no thanks to the dealership adding buffer trails and holograms at no extra charge when I brought it back for paint touch up work after I bought it (CPO car).
In the next month I should be styin'. Now I've got to save up for an exhaust or try tweaking with the stock mufflers so I can match the look with sound, then I'll have to do something like a Stage 2 Dinan so it'll have the go to match the show.......... I need to find a less expensive hobby. Last edited by Chili Palmer; 03-15-2013 at 03:53 PM.. |

Lol.....I think we all do. I'll be sure to report back how everything went with the ACS springs install. Not going to lie, but I am a little nervous that they have to remove the back seat. I have the black nappa leather and hardly anyone sits in my back seat so its pretty much still in new condition. And the last thing I want is a scratch. I also don't want the car to start creaking and making sounds after they put everything back together. Anyway, I'm going to express all of this to them before they begin the work. I'm comforted by the fact that they tell me that they do work for several dealerships in the area so hopefully there shouldn't be any problems. |

Why did you hide the pricing on the springs? If he is going to offer a discount then the original price should be disclosed. Then everybody has a baseline to work from just my 2 cents.

If you call them let them know that you heard about them from the Bimmer F10 5 Post forum. If he finds he's getting a lot of response/business to my thread maybe he'd be inclined to offer discounts to forum members. I'm not trying to be a Richard, but just trying to keep things fair. |
