Send a message via AIM to Alex@AKMotorwerk
We're in central NJ if you want to make the trip down. We have done a bunch of F series coding and a ton of E series coding.

Sorry, I didn't see this. He had a bunch of things done (mirrors, windows, DVD, etc). We met him at the GSP mall. Can you pm? I can forward his info if you want.

Getting my cable soon, I have the software already, ready to go.
Let's get together and do it for each other for free.

For the F10, you need this cable:
http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=21

That's the one I ordered.
They also have a longer length for $29:
http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=20

Not sure why they were recommending that cable you linked to.
Or you could off buying it and let's together, we will use mine if you'd like.
Others are invited as well.

Hi
V12,

Thanx! I'll order the longer version. I got that link from the thread about starting to learn coding sticky. Yes we can definitly get together once i get the cable. Now i just have to pm you on where to get the correct software for 2013 550ix. I want to learn first how to code, so in future i can help our other bimmer brothers. Dont want to screw up software on this cars, that would be a big disaster. Is there any headway on ur thread regarding the group tinting. I want to get my car tinted. I read on bimmerfest that ceramic tints are the way to go on these cars. What do you recommend. Thanx!

Sorry to read about your car, it's brand new!
Don't worry, it will get here. Mine took 3 weeks but got it last week and I coded everything I wanted over the week-end.

Hey guys - plenty of people will help-out and do it for free, code a couple of things, including myself.

If it's to code the car the way you want it and I am driving to you to code it in your driveway, showing you how it is done etc. etc. it's some time spent which perhaps deserves compensation. Personally I would give the guy some bucks even if he didn't ask.

hi!
V12,

got my car back yesterday. They replaced the fuel injectors, all the spark plugs and one IGN coil. car drives like i picked it up on the first day. Also good news, i got the coding cable. Let me know when is the best day we can meet up. i can come anywhere you are. i do not have the software. if you can bring that with you that would be great. i can bring my laptop, but we would need power, my battery is old and doesn't hold up more than 5 mins without plugging it in the outlet. i have a very long list . Thanx!
