Frontal Collision Warning working? How to tell?
Hey Guys,
I just picked up my 2014 535i a few weeks ago, but I can't quite figure out if my front collision warning system is working or not. I'm not getting any errors or anything. I'm also afraid to "test" it by letting my car get too close to the car in front of me. How should I know if it's working or not? I've tried the different distance settings, but not seeing any warnings pop up in the dash or HUD when fast approaching a car. Thanks!

Drive close to a car's rear bumper and the light should turn on

I had a car from dealer for a day with this feature. Only took 3 miles for someone to test it out for me.. Got cut off and if I remember right HUD and dash lit up, maybe even steering wheel vibe?
Didn't end up getting a car with that option though. |

1. Camera based 2. Radar based The type of system is based on if you have ACC. If you have ACC, you will find the car symbol flashes in the HUD anytime the car in front of you slows down. |
