But a sports car that will not be tracked? I want to hustle it a little, want some drama, want some noise and edgyness. IMHO peak street 911 was the 997 GTS, the 991.1 GTS is compelling but is more a trim exercise than an actual different swing at a middling model. 400 or so NA HP, rev happy ..... i'd take that over 470HP of turbo charged brilliance with a mountain of low end torque any day for a car i am hustling on the street. |

Its all relative, for some peps dollars are like pennys...plus the fact is the owner will likely sell it for more than he paid so its an investment in his eyes.
Everything, including an M3, is a waste of money when the use is for driving on the street and not as a career that bring in an income. We cant use 80% of the power and the handling upgrades are meaningless, but they are fun and we accept that there is a cost to that fun. But a waste none the less. You should see how the rich and shameless waste their money, this aint nuttin! |

That GT2 is a legitimate work of art, I'm normally on the 'cars are meant to be driven' side of the fence but I'm okay with the owner not driving it.
Wish I caught it when it was up in RI, there were so many awesome cars at that show but I was super busy that weekend.

As for expensive/rare cars though, the 959 is serious. I don't think I've actually ever seen one of those on the road but I have seen both a Carrera GT and 918 Spyder driving before and they were impressive to say the least.

I saw a 992 for the very first time yesterday. It was grey and was very nice looking but also very complicated looking with design. Overall was cool and left a good impression but I don't know how desirable it would be compared to previous one. It seems a little but more rice look which is just naturally less desirable

The turbos are great and fast as hell. Put the same gt3rs cup tires on a turbo s and it would for sure beat up the 'track special' RS.
But im still going gt3 because its limited. anyone could walk into their local porsche dealer and order a turbo to their spec.

Porsche gave a few publications access to some of the mules.
https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...rototype-ride/ https://www.automobilemag.com/news/2020-porsche-911-turbo-s-review-photos-specs/ Not a ton of surprises. Slightly heavier. Slightly faster. Slightly wider.
