More Photo's Interior

Here's some more photos. I wish I could get shots at night of the interior. It's like sitting in a movie theater with soft red light coming from the dash, side doors and behind the seat. Somebody at the design team had way to much time on their hands, but it looks great.

Nice GT

I also saw one in person and loved the size...Much more passenger space..at least feel than X5 or weird X6...make it all wheel drive and never look at a SUV again...O.K maybe a bad thought..

Not a bad thought. We don't need 4 wheel drive for where we live, but there are many places that 4 wheel drive is a necessity. We keep the truck for bad weather. We are lucky since my Wife and I work at the same place, so only one car needs to be taken to work.

Night Photos... Best attempt.

This is the interior of the car at night. Red lighting is brighter in the pictures than in real life (very soft). But it gives you a idea of the detail. Sorry about the poor quality (photography is not one of my strong points). Two photos, one of the front area and the second of the back seat detail lighting.

Congrats on the car. It looks nice and comfy all around, but I hate the white color.

The 2011 Audi A7 Hatchback will be out October November this year to compete with the BMW 550 hatchback.

Seems like this is the trend.

I agree it does seem to be the trend that car designers are moving towards. My guess is:

1. Baby boomers are getting older and do not need the big SUV's anymore.
2. We are used to the big SUV's and don't want to give up the carrying space.
3. These cars appeal to our younger side (think guy in the hot car in high school).

Just my 2 cents worth. I personally think that cars along this line are going to be the next big hot item.

Giving Credit where credit is due. Our GT came from Checkered Flag BMW. Have dealt with with Checkered Flag BMW for about 10 years. Great people and great service. If you visit to buy or look ask for Brett Shopin (Shoppey), great guy and have personally bought 4 cars from him (and recommend highly). If your lucky your service team lead will be Gena Goodnough (she is the absolute best & somebody you can trust).

We still love the car, but living with annoyances. The car has a problem with the drivers side front tire needing to be aired up. Leak takes about 3 day to a week for it to go down enough to trigger the low tire sensors. Am getting tired of getting up in the morning putting all the stuff into the car for work, then moving it to our other car because of another low tire sensor. Can live with this now, since the wife and I can carpool. But I just don't consider the car reliable at this time. Taking it back to the dealer again for this.

^ a slow leak in a tire makes you consider the car "unreliable?"

When I have a slow-leak I usually air it up with my (not expensive and not large) air compressor until I have a day off in which I remove the wheel/tire put it in the back of my beater car (it looks as though you own a truck) and have the local tire-shop fix the leak. Usually just a nail, I only took a slow-leak to BMW once. They didn't want to patch anything, just wanted to replace the tire, I thanked them for their time and went home to handle the problem myself.

That "beater" car I speak of, I consider that car unreliable, sometimes it starts at temperatures below 40 degrees, sometimes it doesn't until you crank on it for 10 minutes with your foot to the floor. If you let up on the gas pedal while cranking for +/- 10 minutes and then try to start it again it will back-fire and break the MAF sensor (+/- $45 a pop used). Thats unreliable...

After three months of owning this car, all I can say is. We would absolutely buy this car again! Handles like a dream, dives into high speed curves and can moves gracefully from sports to luxury handling in a few clicks of a button. Car is silent during daily driving, but if you hit it hard it will growl (loudly) and move at a level that will shock you.

If your on the fence about this car, all I can say is go see it in person (pictures do not do it justice) and above all Go Drive It.

Agreed. After the test drive, I am loving it. It offers 7 serious luxury level performance at lower price and the N55 engine can give you a suprise. The look will impress you looking from different angle in person. The rear light is cool.

rear sunshades

I'm deciding whether or not to order the sunshades. Is there a rear sunshade on the hatch? Are the rear side window shades power or manual? thanks in advance
