Has anyone bought www.DVDinmotion.com software?
Has anyone has bought the DVD in motion software upgrade from www.dvdinmotion.com for their 2011 F10?
If so please can they let me know if it worked and if everything was OK? I notice the price is 118 EUR on their website, or does someone know of a better/cheaper way of getting DVD in motion? Many thanks |

Seems like you're gonna need some additional hardware as well, like the Kufatec module:
http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=476762 If it's only software, the new functionality will be dropped each time the BMW dealer loads a software update or patch.

sure, but you have to install it again each time your car gets a BMW software upgrade.

Yes I think you would, but saves messing with any hardware what dealers always spot and try and kick off and not do warranty jobs etc, Cant imagine it takes more than a few mins to install

Gentlemen,
although you are welcome to try this software solution by yourself, I would like to specify some details. Since many forum members are visiting our site, I hope my post does not be considered inappropriate (if so, kindly please remove this post). Regardless this being a pure software solution, it is written into a persistent part of CIC memory so it does not get erased every time you get a BMW software upgrade. Besides that, once you have the unlock CD created, it takes under 1 minute to enable/disable video playback while driving. I would be happy to answer any further questions. |

To answer your question: BMW should not spot this. They will need to do a very thorough examination of CIC unit. Based on our experience on 100+ cars, this is not happening. |
