Price to pay on 535 I Gt 2010

It will be my first BMW always wanted one .
the deal on 2010 535 I Gt new with 230 Miles on the Odometer
Dark Graphite Metallic with ivory White & Black Dakota
Equipped with:
Convenience Pkg
Driver Assistance Pkg
Sport Pkg
Premium sound
Rear View Cam
4 zone climate control
Navigation
Online Info system
smart phone integration
front ventilated seat
power rear sunshade

so the MSRP is 70,500 its offered for 57,500 and agreed to pay price is 55,200
I know the price is good.. will this car hold its value for resale (again My First BMW) so i don't know what to expect. I don't see this car on the road so is there no demand on it ?
thanks in advance for all

You like the car, you like the price and you always wanted one. So what's the problem? Resale is a subjective thing as you know. Depends on how the car is at the point in time you want to sell. Personally, I always figure if I drive a new car off the lot it will lose 30% the first year.

Off the top of my head it looks like the car has taken a 25% hit. I find the depreciation factor less each year forward as expressed as a percentage.

But so much depends on when you trade it in. Some argue that you should hold a car for 3 years then trade to take advantage of the depreciation factor. you should be able to google this information I would think?

I hope this helps but its all just my personal observations over the years.

Don't ever buy a new car if one of your main concerns is the resale value! You are entering nightmare territory here. You have the car you want at a good price, where someone else has taken the lions share of year one depreciation, but don't think it ends here. This model has a history of rapid initial depreciation (like most larger cars) Year two onwards has yet to be seen......

personally I would go for it. assuming you like it, it's the car you want, etc. BMWs in general tend to have pretty good resale value; not sure about the 5 GT specifically. But from what you describe a new 2010 model, for 55K that stickered at 70K, you're already getting 15K off. as far popularity, there definitely seems to be more 5 sedans around --- but if it's the car you want, then go for it.
