I had this deal when I bought my new car that I would get 1 free upgrade, so the dealer happily obliged. Anyway, looking at what it might cost. It took about 1.5 hours; so I guess that is what the dealer should charge - the equivalent of 1.5 hours of labour charge. I do not think the dealers would charge anything for the software itself; only the labour. Best is to ask your local dealer... but I guess is it will likely be upwards of £200 or so.

Thanks for the link. I already had a quick look over and there's a lot of info to get through. You seem to have a pretty good knowledge as do others here in the UK so may be calling on your help if I get stuck

The Sat-Nav look & feel has changed considerably (this is in comparison to Aug 2013, when the LCI models were launched). I had one of the early builds; so the changes I am seeing now may already be in the later manufactured models. Few things I was able to enable & get working properly: - Route Magnet - Route Simulation - Avoid Route - Auto Zoom SatNav maps A few pictures attached to give an overview

Also, the Route Magnet feature & Route Simulation feature work very well. (Both coded easily).

One for Guru .....
My recoding exercise included 'Radio off when door opened', which duly worked. A few times now when I've parked in my quiet driveway and am contemplating my lot, I've heard really faint music - always thought it was the onset of dementia or perhaps someone in the street playing a radio .... anyways, today I realised its the car! Seems like the Radio is just muted to minimum volume, not off ... cos if you press the knob it totally stops.

When the car is powered on (say engine running), you would notice that pressing the radio button to turn off the radio actually only mutes the volume. The iDrive unit actually stays on (as it should, because the car is on). When the car is off (parked), the radio button actually turns the iDrive unit off. The coding only turns the volume to mute; and does not turn the I-drive unit off. The CAS module (ECU) is still active, and believes the car is running; so the open door action only mutes the volume. iDrive will shut down after you lock the car (or eventually time out to shutdown) The radio on/off button behaves differently depending on whether the engine is running or not. ... Now before anyone jumps, I'd like to state that the terms On/Off are used very loosely by me above. In actual technicality, the IDrive first goes into standby; and eventually turns off after a few minutes. The functionality (post coding) you are seeing is normal. I have not noticed this in my car; guess I need to listen more carefully in a quiet environment... but the system is behaving as designed. Hope the explanation is clear...

I just bought my first f11 520d and I looking for some help with mods-coding. change the annoying setabelt reminder or droping wing mirror when reversing will make using car more confortable.
I live down South but dont mind bit of driving. also I just bought Acs front springs but need to lower the rear suspension too. Does anyone one know how and where it can be done? |

Thx Guru;
So - I stop the engine, push Radio knob - Radio powered off. Or, stop the engine, open Drivers door - Radio muted.

- Seat belt reminders: can be done. [ACSM module, 3000 Ausstattungsflags] - Dropping Wing Mirror: [FRM 3020, FRM_SPIEGEL ,ASP_BORDSTEINAUTOMATIK_DELTA] The angle of the wing mirror dip can be changed (from default 59 degrees to whatever you prefer. I presume you already have electric folding mirrors (or memory seats). As with all coding scenarios; not everything may work or be successful. - Springs: No idea.
