The Jag XF is the sexiest, the E Class the technology king, the Lexus GS the price leader, the 5 series best driving. It would be great if the new 5 is a blend of all..

I HATE the night vision camera in the grille. I don't understand why BMW would think this was alright, it destroys the look of the grille on the 7-series and now if you order this option on the 5, Same.

The Work-In-Progress image was created by a member called Jack on German Car Zone , it is far from finished but I decided to help him out regarding the shape of the rear light units in which I used Microsoft Paint for quickness.

Though I do love the new interior and of course the exterior looks to be a winner too, it drives me nuts that BMW continues to remove the manual hand brake from all there models. Even the manual transmission car has a button/lever for the hand brake... I am sure it will make its way to the M5 as well. I guess its not really a big deal, just kind of my rant... Just represents more unecessary complexity and weight.

^^^^ C'mon now, at least make an attempt to make it somewhat of a fair comparison. You're comparing a psychadelic camoflage taped preproduction F10 with not only the top-of-the-line E60, but one that has additional cosmetic modifications.
I for one think that based on what we've seen of the 5-series GT and these spy photos, this car will be a design hit. |

Looks hopefully. However, if I am to buy a big luxury sedan I would probably opt for the new jaguar xk. The BMW will be in running contention, as the size of vehicle increases BMW's sporty edge dulls. I suspect most 5 series buyers view comfort, image and amenities as priority over driving dynamics. Unless I am determined on the m5 the xk seems to fit the bill of looking good and arriving with a presence. The E class is so common in the minds of consumer it's just another vanilla highed sedan like that of a Camry

I disagree, I think most do know that BMW is the more sporty and youthful of the luxury brands. Just because they won't ever use the sporting potential of the car doesn't mean they don't inherently understand what the car and brand stand for. Most porsche boxster buyers are females in southern california and long island who will never really drive the car. But they still know that a porsche is a world class sports car...

Oh Oh I hope that the Shape of the tail lights are closer to that of the Face Lifted E90 Sedan then the 2004 and 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedans.
